Lumbini Agro-Environment Laboratory, located in Bhumahi, Lumbini Province, has been successfully selected as one of the private water testing laboratories outside the valley under UNICEF’s flagship project “Strengthening Water and Wastewater Laboratories in Nepal.” 🎉👏
A joint assessment team comprising representatives from the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management (DWSSM), the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL), and UNICEF Nepal, along with SWAT Lab, visited the laboratory today. The team not only evaluated the lab’s technical capabilities but also expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the young professionals working tirelessly over the past five years. “The youth here are doing remarkable work,” one of the team members acknowledged, highlighting the laboratory’s growing role in public health monitoring. 🙌

During the assessment, discussions were held on possible collaboration between the Government of Nepal (GoN) and private laboratories to enhance capacity during public health emergencies. The visit and recognition mark a significant milestone for Lumbini Agro-Environment Laboratory, reaffirming its commitment to serve communities during times of need.

The laboratory family expressed heartfelt gratitude to UNICEF Nepal, NPHL, DWSSM, and SWAT Lab for their continuous support and encouragement. “This recognition not only honors our five years of relentless effort but also motivates us to strive further for national-level excellence in water quality testing,” the laboratory team shared. 🙏💐
